Advance Kingscote Progress Association has received a grant from Stronger Communities Partnerships to provide small art works around Kingscote that will surprise and delight visitors and the local community.

AKPA has matched the grant funding to allow the project to proceed.

The Art Trail will complement the proposed Kingscote Silo Art Painting, to act as an attractor for visitors and the Kangaroo Island Community to visit Kingscote.

The art works will complement the Kangaroo Island Sculpture Trail at Penneshaw and the various galleries around Kangaroo Island.

The Kingscote art trail has begun with an artwork by Jan Pengilly near the KI Lions Shop and will progress around selected walls, benches and footpaths of Kingscote.

Painted Silos and other art works have proven to be an attractor to towns and communities and we hope to help revive Kingscote and Kangaroo Island through art.
