Raptor Domain is an environmental education rehabilitation centre that provides interactive experiences with wildlife by your hosts, Dave and Leeza Irwin. Dave is a qualified Zoo Keeper and has been involved with raptors from a young age, with many years experience in raising and training orphaned and sick animals and birds of prey. Leeza has a sound knowledge of ecosystems and the environment and loves sharing this information with the general public.
Whilst living in the Northen Territory, Dave and Leeza conducted presentations for the Territory Wildlife Park and Alice Springs Desert Park. After moving to South Australia, they managed Birds of Prey displays for Warrawong Wildlife Sanctuary, Adelaide Hills Wildnerness Lodge and Vivonne Bay Eco-Adventures.
Since this time, Dave and Leeza purchased 150 acres on South Coast Road, Kangaroo Island, where they have built their very popular Birds of Prey Rehabilitation Centre, Raptor Domain. They are now combining their skills and experience at their Island attraction to provide a service to the general public with their interactive and spectacular presentations. Their aim is to give people a rare opportunity to experience wildlife up-close, while creating an understanding of them and their role in our environment.
