Ferguson Australia is excited to announce the launch of their all-South Australian wild caught frozen fish range. The range includes five iconic South Australian wild caught fish species handpicked by the Ferguson family – Southern Garfish (200g), King George Whiting (220g), Gummy Shark (250g), Coorong Mullet (250g), and Flathead (250g).
The fish range supports local South Australian fishermen from the Great Australian Bight through to Meningie including Port Lincoln, Kangaroo Island and the Yorke Peninsula.
The fish are caught using the best fishing practices ensuring that quality is maintained when harvesting. The fish is filleted, vacuum-packed and blast frozen on the day that it is caught.
The official launch of the new frozen South Australian fish range will be held at the Ferguson Australia processing facility at 16 Circuit Drive, Hendon, with tastings, cooking demonstrations and tours available to guests on Tuesday, 8 November 2016 from 3.00 – 4.00PM.
Also at the launch, Ferguson Australia’s brand ambassador and Adelady cook, Dinah Crowe will be demonstrating simple and family-friendly recipes that she has developed for the range. The recipes are available online from the Ferguson website.
The range will be available in Foodland, IGA, the Kangaroo Island Stall within the Adelaide Central Market, Ferguson Australia online store and other independent retail stores through South Australia, Northern Territory, New South Wales, Victoria and Western Australia. Product will be available in store from Monday, 14 November.
Ferguson Australia is a third generation South Australian fishing family. Andrew’s favourite is the King George whiting, Debra loves flathead, William caught his first gummy at 10 years of age, Kate can’t go without Coorong mullet and Eliza prefers garfish with her sweet potato chips.
