Scott creates artwork inspired by the natural forms found on Kangaroo Island. His oil paintings are heroic still-life portraits of uncanny detail, capturing a moment of discovery and the wonder he feels.
He has achieved finalist status in the 2011, 2012 and 2014 Waterhouse Natural Science Art Prize at the South Australian Museum in Adelaide, winning the Waterhouse People’s Choice Prize in 2012. Scott has also been shortlisted as a finalist in the 2011 and 2014 Outback Open Art Prize at the Broken Hill Regional Art Gallery and the 2012 Heysen Prize for Interpretation of Place at the Hahndorf Academy.
Scott lives and paints surrounded by inspiration on a 150 acre heritage bush property on Kangaroo Island’s Dudley Peninsula, near the South Ocean.
Selected artwork is currently on display at Dudley Wines Cellar Door.
