Darry Fraser is an author of Australian historical and contemporary fiction who lives and works on Kangaroo Island.
After two short novels were print published in 2000, and many years a number of novellas e-book published, ‘Daughter of the Murray’, a full length Australian historical was published with Harlequin MIRA in 2016. Her next book, ‘Where The Murray River Runs’ was released in December, 2017, and another, The Widow of Ballarat, set against the backdrop of Eureka Stockade, was published in November, 2018. A novella, ‘The Drover Comes Home For Christmas’ was published in 2018 in an anthology ‘Our Country Christmas’. Novels for 2019 and 2020 have been contracted by her publisher and a privately commissioned novel is ready for publication.
The Australian landscape is home and hearth – the rural, the coastal, the arid lands and the desert. The history, the hidden stories, the catalysts, and the powerful connections between humans are her story drivers.
She is a daughter, a sister, and an aunty, and mother to Hamish the Wonder dog. She has an extreme fondness for plain potato crisps, dark chocolate, fresh licorice, and loves a bold berry-flavoured red wine (not necessarily at the same time ).
